Welcome to NetHui - New Zealand’s favourite Internet gathering! We are looking forward to seeing you on 3-4 October, as we have so many things to discuss!

Please note that the NetHui registration doesn’t cover Partners Day on 2 October, which is a day full of events, forums, workshops, and round tables hosted by partner organisations. You are welcome to attend these events, you just need to register for each separately, using the registration link. You do not need a NetHui ticket to attend Partners Day events.

A discussion of lessons, actions, and other important issues
On October 2 at Te Papa, InternetNZ is bringing together people from civil society, government and the tech sector to think about some of the big ideas that have arisen around the response to the Christchurch mosque attacks, and we want your voice in the conversation.

The major topics we are covering are Internet filtering as a policy tool and what a duty of care would mean for online services such as social media. We want discussion and outputs from the day to inform the way New Zealand makes policy decisions for social media and the wider Internet, and in turn to help inform thinking on those issues globally.

The day will be a mix of short presentations from people with key perspectives on the topics, and collaborative interactive roundtable discussions, giving you the chance to share your views and hear from others on these emerging issues.
